The new year has made its appearance and we are busy with lots of new things here at Child Enrichment. The children have all settled in nicely from the Christmas break and quickly fallen into the routine of school. It is so amazing to watch the changes that take place in each age this time of year.
We have jumped in full steam ahead with our Festival of Friends planning and preparation...we have several great changes for this years festival....instead of games we will be offering live entertainment for the kids and we will include a kids only drawing into the event. Our Grand Prize this year in the drawing for the adults will be a ge Apple Ipad with wi-fi and for the kids we will have a Leapfrog Leapad Explorer tablet....sounds like fun to me! The children will be entertained by BIG Bang Boom a local children's interactive band.....from what I hear the kids love them! Look for your family information packets about the Festival of Friends to arrive home next Thursday.
Registration began on Wednesday and classes are filling up very quickly....thanks to each of you! We will start registration for new families on Wed, January 25th and we have several waiting to join us. Please remember that once registration begins for new families we cannot guarantee current families placement for next year. We are so blessed to have such wonderful children and parents!
Friday, January 27th is Penguin Day...have your children wear black and white and waddle in for some Penguin Fun.
Congratulations to all our families with new babies.....We welcome, Emma, Payton, Lola, and Nathan since January 1st!.

August is here and summer is quickly flying by....I hope everyone is having a great summer and getting some much needed vacation time. There are a couple items I would like to share with everyone. First, if you haven't heard we are extending summer session into August. We are offering three extra weeks starting August 2nd and ending on August 18th. Cost is $50 per week. Please call or email to check on availability.
Fall session Parent Packets were mailed today and you should be receiving yours shortly. Packets contain calendars, forms ,September billing and all the necessary information you need to start the new school year.
You will also find a tuition agreement....please let me know if you need to add early drop off, extended day or lunch bunch. Changes can be made at anytime.
Teachers will be calling in the next few weeks to introduce themselves and answer any questions I can't wait to see you all soon. We will be busy the next few weeks cleaning and preparing for our friends to return! I can't wait for you to see all the new things we have happening for fall. Kiss the babies for me!
Welcome Spring....we are so glad you are here! The children are so excited now that the weather is warming up and the flowers are starting to bloom. You can just feel the excitement in the air. We will spend the next few weeks remembering how awesome God is as we experience new life all around us including the new life found in Jesus. Ms. Pam has some great lessons for chapel that your child will never forget.
We will have our school wide Easter Egg Hunt on Wednesday, April 13th. The toddlers and two's will hunt eggs here at 9:30 and the three's, four's and Pre-K will travel on the church bus to Emerywood Baptist to hunt at may. We are always in need of plastic easter eggs if anyone has some they would like to donate.
Spring Break will be April 18th - 25th. We will return to school on April 26th.
Mark your calendars for Sunday, May 1st.....Child Enrichment Sunday! The children will be singing 3 songs at the 10:55 worship service. We hope that all of our families will be able to attend. Following the performance the children will be taken to their classrooms so families can enjoy the rest of the worship service.
Our Family Picnic will be held on Wednesday, May 4th at City Lake Park. Information will come home soon so you can make your reservations. Remember school is closed that day and everyone meets at the park at may. We have rides, food and great fellowship!
Our End of the Year school wide program will be held on Thursday, May 19th at 11:00am in the Sanctuary and will be followed with punch and cookies in the Fellowship Hall. Our program this year has a summer theme and should prove to be a crowd pleaser! Bring your cameras beach music will never be the same!

The best word I can think of to describe our Festival of Friends is simply.....unbelievable!!!!! I still am amazed at the turnout for the evening and success of the event. We raised over $20,000 to help our preschool and the Hand in Hand Scholarship program. It took hours of work from many people to make the evening a success and I can't say thank you enough. When visiting some of the many local businesses that supported our Festival please make a point of saying thank you....we couldn't have done it without all of their great donations.
Mark your calendars for Picture Perfect Photo Sculptures...March 16th. Samples are in the lobby. You will need to sign up for an appointment time. Sign up sheets are also in the lobby.
Just a reminder Spring Break will begin on April 18th and we will return to school on Tuesday, April 26th.
Summer Registration is underway and classes do fill up quickly. We have a few remaining spots for fall if you have friends or family that are interested please send them our way. We only have two spots remaining in our new infant class. We are blesses with lots of new babies around here.
As we begin the season of Lent and we begin to prepare our hearts for Easter we are reminded of Gods love for us .....take a few momemts to ask your child about Gods love, the answers are often priceless.

February here we go.....I hope that little Groundhog doesn't predict six more weeks of winter. I think we are all ready for some warm air and sunshine. The playground has been lonely without us! We will be so busy this month maybe spring will sneak up on us.
The children will be talking alot about love this month.....you might even get some extra hugs and kisses.
We have several things going on that you might want to make note of for the month of February.....
On February 3rd, our family packets for the Festival of Friends will come home with your child. The Festival of Friends Committee has been working hard on our biggest fundraiser of the year and there are several changes you will notice in the information. We are excited that this year children will eat FREE at the event and each of our classes will be making TWO special projects to place up for auction! We will also be dining in the fellowship hall to help make more room for our great games and amazing silent auction items. If you or anyone you know has a business that would like to donate towards our auction or place an ad in our auction catalog please let me know. All donations are tax deductible. The Grand Prize for our drawing is a 42 inch flat screen tv....I could use that! Tickets are available for only $1....there are five other special drawing bags available. More details are included in your packet.
We will have a special visit from Warr Pediatrics on Friday, February 11th....they will tell us all about good dental health and leave us each a special treat!
On Sunday, February 13th FUMC will honor Grandparents during the morning worship services. We will put a beautiful flower arrangement on the altar table in honor/memory of all grandparents. We will have an insert in the bulletin listing everyone that has participated. The cost is $5 per name and the money will be used for our Child Enrichment Scholarship Fund. Please let me know if you did not receive the grandparent form.
Registration for next fall is underway and we have really been filling up quickly. We have only four spots left in our two year old program for next year so if you know someone that might be interested please send them our way. Don't forget we have added an additional crib room for children under one.
We are so glad to be offering our June and July summer sessions again this year. Summer sessions will be held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays....we will continue to offer early drop off as an option during the summer. Cost will be $165 per month. Summer school registration will begin on March 7th. More information will come home this month.
